CALGARY, WE’RE RECRUITING: Brand Ambassador Coordinator + Marketing Assistant

As a Brand Ambassador Coordinator + Marketing Assistant you will help market Gabriella’s Kitchen products and grow the brand with the end goal to maximize brand awareness and sales. This part-time role will allow you to acquire and enhance your marketing skills exposing you to various levels of marketing strategy including organization & event sponsorship, influencer marketing, social media marketing, and more. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in business and marketing, prepared to enter any fast paced work environment. We’ll teach you about business, branding, people, and pasta and ensure you that you progress and grow with our brand. ROLES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Act as Coordinator for the skinnypasta™ Brand Ambassador Program
    • Review Brand Ambassador applicants via website contact form with Digital Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing and Brand Development
    • Assist with negotiations and onboarding new Brand Ambassadors and Advocates
    • Develop ambassador biographies and profiles for GK website with Digital Marketing Manager
    • Act as main point of contact for Ambassadors or Advocates
      • Keep Ambassadors and Advocates up-to-date through a monthly newsletter (MailChimp)
      • Provide news, schedules, updates to Digital Marketing Manager for digital promotion
      • Provide feedback to Marketing Team for Brand Ambassador and Advocate evaluation
      • Send products (pasta and swag) to Ambassadors and Advocates as needed (personal delivery in Calgary, and arrange shipping outside of Calgary)
      • Present additional BA branding opportunities to Marketing Team as they arise
      • Seek and present leads for new recruits to Marketing Team
  • Support the Marketing Team in daily administrative tasks and errands
  • Support Digital Marketing Manager in customer service and scheduling tasks
  • Help organize marketing events and act as a Brand Representative at these events
  • Report hours on a weekly basis to Digital Marketing Manager

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a Marketing degree or a degree in a similar field of study such as Management, Communications, or Human Resources with the intent to pursue a career in such field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of different marketing strategies and techniques
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
  • Passionate, hard worker with flexibility to evolve in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with WordPress, MailChimp, HootSuite, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest an asset
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
  • Must have personal laptop and mobile phone

COMMITMENT

This role is a paid internship with flexible hours ranging from 8-10 hours per week or 32-40 hours per month, and has potential to become a full-time position. You will report to the Director of Marketing and Brand Development as well as the Digital Marketing Manager. Exact hours and schedule to be discussed and agreed upon with management.
